Four fighters in a post-apocalyptic future, and the genre has one rule that decides everything: nothing should look new.

Clean, matched and undamaged is the failure mode of every cyberpunk outfit. What sells it is wear, mismatch and hardware that looks like it does something, ideally salvaged from three different places. Four characters means the temptation is a uniform, and resisting that is what makes them read as people who survived rather than a squad who were issued kit.
