Alice is the plain one, and plain is harder than it looks: the blue dress is so fixed in everybody's head that any change reads as a decision. The Mad Hatter is the opposite, a character who only works when the proportions are wrong. The Red Queen is pure authority, red and structure and nothing soft. Getting all three right in one session means switching register twice, and most people are noticeably better at one of the three.
