A villain outfit designed for a dance clip has different requirements to one designed for a castle. It has to read in a few seconds, at phone size, in motion.

That means big shapes, high contrast and one clear idea, and it means all the fine detail that looks wonderful standing still is wasted. Working inside those limits is more interesting than it sounds, because it forces you to decide what the character actually is rather than decorating her.
