Four animals come through the salon and each carries a different job: Emma the poodle needs a haircut and a bath, Amy the rabbit needs her fur trimmed and brushed, Tony the pug needs his ears and nose cleaned and then feeding, and Princess the kitten has lost her collar, so you design a replacement rather than pick one off a shelf. That collar screen is the only properly creative choice in the game, and it is the one players tend to rush.

How to play Barbie's Pet Salon

Work through the pets one at a time, since each animal has its own tools and its own screen. Grooming runs in a fixed order: wash or trim first, then dry and brush, then the finishing touch, whether that is food, a clean face or a bow. Leave Princess the kitten until you have time to spend, because her collar is built rather than chosen, and screenshot it if you want it, as nothing is stored.
